NHT Introduces "The Interviews".
Conversations with people that traded their hard-earned cash for NHT products.  How they use them.  Their thoughts,  Impressions.  Professionals and non-professional users, just like you,  from around the world.  We start our new series from London, England with Steve Parr.

Byrne Buys Back NHT
Chris Byrne, who co-founded NHT in 1986, has bought back the brand with two partners from its most recent owner, Vinci Group.

NHT Ready To Roll Again
Benicia, Calif. — Home audio supplier NHT has new owners, and one of them is the industry veteran who co-founded the company in 1986 and stayed at NHT’s helm during all but three of the brand’s 22 years in existence.

NHT Acquires NHT!
January 31, 2008 — When last we heard business news from NHT, it had been acquired by Vinci Labs in 2006. Today, NHT managing director Chris Byrne told Stereophile, "We are sitting down right now and signing the papers to purchase NHT, Inc. from Vinci Labs, creating NHT Audio, LLC."

"As I see it, whether listeners are spending $800 or $80,000 on a new pair of loudspeakers, they want the same thing - namely, to get as close as possible to the heart and soul of the music. No other affordable bookshelf speaker I've heard does a better job of that than NHT's Classic Threes."

The clarity of the NHT Verve IV impressed us from the get-go. Most small speakers sound small--you can hear them struggling to belt out home theater thrills--but the Verve had the sonic gravitas of a larger system.

"Our competitors wish Steve Guttenberg would tone down his unbridled enthusiasm for CLASSIC speakers and NHT's electronic components, but we think it's just peachy.

"Jazz fans love Jazz Times, the premier magazine catering lovers of America's classical music. And it's no surprise that Jazz Times loves the amazing sound of NHT Xd."

"It wouldn't polite for us to call our CLASSIC system the Product of the Year, so we let The Perfect Vision do it for us."

"For desktop use, the NHT M-00 and
S-00 easily outperform most multimedia speakers on the market. And they don't do it at an inflated price. "

The Reviews are in.

See what they're saying about the
Classic Series, Xd and more....

Leaders of the Pack?
In recent years, NHT (the acronym stands for Now Hear This) has made waves with its excellent but expensive self-powered, DSP-controlled Xd speaker (favorably reviewed in The Absolute Sound Issue 162). Fortunately, NHT has applied insights gleaned from the Xd development effort to create its affordable new Classic series speakers, which are said to represent the firm's "best effort to date in passive speaker design." To put that claim to the test, we chose a five-channel system consisting of two Classic Four floorstanders used as L/R mains, Classic Three C center channel, and a pair of Classic Three stand-mount monitors used as surrounds."

To paraphrase John Lennon,
we'd like to thank you on behalf of the group and
ourselves and I'm glad we passed the audition.

EM reviewer Steve Stone presents a "no nonsense"
take on NHT's PC Hi-Fi powerhouse rig.

Can a respected designer and manufacturer of high performance audio/video products receive a little respect from the press without having to worry about being seen as opportunistic?

Apparently, yes. Stereophile's Wes Phillips approached his visit to NHT with a little concern as to what the brand was trying to pull. The answer? Mostly, a good time.

NHT will travel to great lengths for a good time with friends in the music business, and there's no better place to party with music pros than Nashville, Tennessee.

Join NHT's Don Bassey and John Johnsen as they represent the brand at the annual Roy Acuff Place Block Party to benefit MusiCares, an organization dedicated to supporting professional musicians.

Welcome to the future of NHT.
